The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix has traditionally always had a heart for children. The official charity partner of the long-established tournament this year is again Jürgen Klinsmann’s “Agapedia Stiftung”. In addition to various children’s aid projects in Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania, the charity founded in 1995 by the former German soccer star also runs the “Kinderhaus Esslingen” (Esslingen Children’s Home) . Children are provided with meaningful after-school leisure activities including homework supervision, sport, games and creative arts.

During the week of the tournament the children’s home will transfer some of its activities to the Porsche Arena. The little artistes and magicians belonging to the Agapedia Children’s Circus will be entertaining the audience with a programme full of fantasy.

Jürgen Klinsmann, proud owner of a classic 356 Porsche, would like to give the children the chance of a good future – not out of necessity on the football pitch. “A good traineeship is better than a thousand goals”.
