“Aces for Charity” serves for children and young people – and we mean that literally. Since 2006, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix has been supporting social projects with every ace. Every ace served is worth 100 euros, and every ace helps. We also rely on genuine partnership and trusting cooperation with our charity partners. Sustainable support is the key to long-term success. That’s why, in 2022, we again supported Jürgen Klinsmann’s Agapedia Foundation and the Baden-Württemberg Sports Association in equal shares. A total of 221 aces were hit during the tournament and the donation sum was then rounded up to 30,000 euro by Porsche.
The Agapedia Foundation sees itself as an incubator for humanitarian aid, and is committed to supporting children in need. The aim of all measures is to help affected children directly and to support social developments through sustainable projects. In Germany, Agapedia offers disadvantaged children between the ages of six and twelve special after-school care programs in the afternoons. With sports, games, creative workshops, and a children’s circus, Agapedia encourages children to recognize their potential and develop social skills. In Eastern Europe, Agapedia cares for abandoned children and orphans and provides them with family care. Through in-school support and education, they receive help in building an independent life.
With 3.8 million members and around 12,000 clubs, the Landessportverband Baden-Württemberg (LSVBW) is the state’s largest association of individual members. Its tasks include promoting competitive and youth sports and establishing principles for teaching. The “Integration through Sports” program at the LSVBW, for example, advises and supports sports clubs and associations who want to address the issues of integration and intercultural opening – from developing initial ideas, to implementing measures, to anchoring the topic in the respective structures. In addition, the program offers intercultural training for volunteers and full-time employees, and advises sports organizations on intercultural opening processes. .
